The Building Bridges Portfolio supports the original Building Bridges Guide.
The Portfolio facilitates a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting students on the Autism Spectrum, as well as other student populations within the school building.
Includes the CD version + booklet which includes several documents to assist in the facilitation of social skills groups. These documents include tools to:
Collect datapre and post questionnaire
Monitor attendance
Choose group participants
Acquire parental permission for group
Collaborate with parents via weekly updates
Coach teachers with weekly feedback forms (to help embed skills across the school day)
Maintain individual student progress notes (IEP quarterly report-friendly)
Incorporate the group process into social skills group sessions
The activities referenced within the sample social skills group session documents refer to social skills lesson plans and activities in the original Building Bridges Guide. Examples of documents and templates are provided to offer a framework for the individual group facilitator to use and modify as needed.
